Big Rivers Compact Announces 2026 Wildfire Training Academy

The Big Rivers Forest Fire Management Compact has announced the class schedule for its 2026 Wildfire Training Academy. The academy will be held October 19-23, 2026, at John A. Logan College in Carterville, Illinois. The academy will offer eleven National Wildfire Coordinating Group courses to help wildland firefighters advance their training and qualifications. Preference for class selection is given to Compact member states (Illinois, Indiana, Iowa and Missouri); class selection from outside the Compact will be filled on an availability basis.
