Big Rivers Compact Announces 2025 Wildfire Training Academy

The Big Rivers Forest Fire Management Compact has announced the class schedule for its 2025 Wildfire Training Academy. The academy will be held October 20-24, 2025 at John A. Logan College in Carterville, Illinois. The academy will offer nine National Wildfire Coordinating Group and National Fire Protection Association courses to help wildland firefighters advance their training and qualifications. Preference for class selection is given to Compact member states (Illinois, Indiana, Iowa and Missouri); class selection from outside the Compact will be filled on an availability basis.
